Keane D. Foster, Lay Visitation Minister
I
am a life member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
I was Baptized and Confirmed here. My work for the
church began just out of high school with my teaching in the
Junior Department and then leading into being Superintendent.
I was Youth Fellowship Director for many years. I held
Christian Education Classes for Senior High School students
and Adult Church members for many years.
I have also assisted
Rev. Dolde with his Visitations of our home bound shut-ins;
which has became my main role presently. Our church
members are very important and they are remembered even though
they are not as active within the Church. I am also on
back up call for Hospital Visitations. In addition, I
have led Church Worship Services and given sermons.
I am also the Prayer
Team Leader. Prayer is an important part of our
Christian Faith. Prayer requests are made to the Church
and we then hold a short prayer session each Sunday morning.
Prayers are then presented in church to our loving God.
There is power in our prayers!
In addition, I have
attended various classes covering teaching and "Called to
Care". I will also be attending the Lay Academy for the
United Church of Christ this fall, continuing to obtain my
License.
The United Church of Christ theme, "God is
Still Speaking!" is a strong statement here. We are on a
Mission!
